Heeseung from ENHYPEN to Venture into a Solo Music Career

ENHYPEN will continue as a six-member group following the departure of founding member Heeseung, as announced by his agency, BELIFT LAB, on Tuesday, March 10.
The label shared the news in a statement released across the group’s official channels, noting that the decision followed extensive discussions regarding the future direction of the group and Heeseung’s personal musical ambitions.

“Through in-depth discussions with each of the members about the future they envision and the direction of the team, it became clear that Heeseung has his own distinct musical vision,” the company stated.
BELIFT LAB confirmed that while Heeseung will leave the group, he will remain with the label as he prepares to launch his solo career. The decision was reached after considerable deliberation involving the artist, the remaining members, and management.

Remaining members Jake, Jay, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki will continue promoting as ENHYPEN, although no specific plans for upcoming releases or tour activities have been disclosed alongside Tuesday’s announcement.
Heeseung also addressed fans, known as ENGENE, expressing his gratitude to both supporters and his bandmates.
“Thanks to the members with whom I shared countless emotions, and to ENGENE, who always filled every empty space with their support, I was able to take step after step toward a dream that once felt out of reach,” he noted. “I am working hard on an album so I can meet you all again soon.”
Heeseung debuted with ENHYPEN in November 2020 after participating in the survival audition program I-LAND. The group quickly gained an international following with the release of their debut album, Border: Day One, and continued to expand their fanbase through global tours.
His departure marks the first lineup change for the group since its inception.
BELIFT LAB stated that Heeseung is currently working on a solo album, although details about the project have not yet been revealed.
