Hayley Williams Shares Her Favorite French Beauty Brand
Hayley Williams Discusses Her Beauty Secrets and New Brand Expansion
In an exclusive interview, Hayley Williams, the iconic lead vocalist of Grammy Award-winning band Paramore, shared insights into her beauty routine and the recent expansion of her hair care line, Good Dye Young. Known for her vibrant orange-red hair and powerful voice, Williams has become a cultural touchstone for many fans.
Good Dye Young, which Williams co-founded with her longtime stylist Brian O’Connor in 2016, is celebrated for its vegan and cruelty-free hair color products. The brand recently debuted in all ULTA Beauty locations across the country, aiming to connect with a broader audience and enhance community engagement. “I wanted to create a space where self-expression, color, and joy thrive,” Williams said about the brand’s mission.
Taking a break from her UK tour, Williams opened up about her morning routines, emphasizing simplicity and effectiveness. “If I wake up on a particularly depressed day, I just groan into the darkness. On good days, I jump out of bed and play with my dog,” she remarked.
Her skincare routine includes vitamin C and E serums, with a favorite product being the SkinCeuticals line. “Always Elta MD for sunscreen. She will not let you down,” she added, recalling her long-standing loyalty to the brand.
Williams also shared her approach to makeup. “I’m really low maintenance nowadays,” she explained, noting her preference for minimal products. “When I need to move quickly, it’s sunscreen, brushing my hair, and walking out the door.”
Discussing her hair routine, Williams highlighted the importance of hydration. “Moisture, moisture, moisture,” she stated, highlighting her belief in maintaining healthy hair despite the demands of touring. “When we created Good Dye Young, I was excited about venturing into hair care because I knew Brian would excel.”
Reflecting on her journey with beauty products, Williams expressed both nostalgia and growth. “I worried too much about having acne in my early 20s,” she admitted. However, she has learned to embrace her own beauty beyond societal expectations.
With an array of beauty treatments, Williams is open to experimentation, having tried botox and various skincare products, though she remains grounded. “I’d rather stick to relaxing treatments and the occasional microderm,” she noted.
When it comes to beauty icons, Williams names Debbie Harry, David Bowie, Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopez, and her grandmother as inspirations. “I say, ‘Beauty’s where you find it,’” she quoted her impact on beauty perception.
Amidst the rapidly evolving beauty landscape, Williams finds joy in the small things, including her go-to nail polish—a chipped black color. As she continues to inspire countless fans with her artistry and authenticity, Williams remains a quintessential figure in both the music and beauty worlds.
