Hassie Harrison Joins the Cast of Fox’s ‘Baywatch’ as a Series Regular
Hassie Harrison, known for her role in Yellowstone, has joined the cast of the upcoming Baywatch television series, taking on a series regular role. The show is a collaboration between Fox and Fremantle.
In her new role, Harrison will portray Nat, a former foster child who has become an Olympic athlete and sets the gold standard in lifeguarding. Described as brilliant, driven, and fiercely loyal, Nat is the closest friend and right hand to protagonist Hobie Buchannon, played by Stephen Amell. Her commitment to excellence often challenges her personal relationships both on and off the beach.
This casting announcement follows the recent addition of Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad. The ensemble also includes Jessica Belkin, who will play Charlie Vale, and David Chokachi, returning to his original role as Cody Madison.
Baywatch is set to premiere on Fox during the 2026–2027 television season, with production beginning in the Los Angeles area this spring. The series will follow Hobie, who now serves as a Baywatch Captain, as he navigates life after his daughter Charlie arrives to continue the family legacy.
The original Baywatch, which debuted in 1989, became a global phenomenon, reaching audiences in over 200 countries and drawing in more than a billion viewers weekly at its peak. Starring David Hasselhoff, the show also launched the careers of notable figures like Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, and Jason Momoa.
The new series will be produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle, with Matt Nix serving as showrunner. He will executive produce alongside McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz. Fox Entertainment Global will retain all domestic rights, while Fremantle handles international sales.
Harrison is best known for her recurring role as Laramie in Yellowstone, and she has recently appeared in the thriller Dangerous Animals, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. She has a growing filmography, with her latest projects including the neo-noir Deep Eddy and an upcoming Western thriller titled The Rescue.
In her forthcoming projects, Harrison will also star alongside Anthony Mackie and Ben Foster in the thriller Raven. She is represented by Gersh, Range Media Partners, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.
