Harry Styles Stumbles and Breaks into a Fun Dance in His ‘Aperture’ Music Video — Check It Out!
The music video for Harry Styles’ highly anticipated first single in four years has arrived, showcasing a surreal narrative that embodies a dream-like quality. Released on January 23, Styles unveiled the video for "Aperture," giving fans a preview of his new musical era.
The video, directed by Aube Perrie, known for his work on Styles’ previous projects including “Satellite” and “Music for a Sushi Restaurant,” opens with the singer engaging in routine activities within a hotel room. However, the seemingly mundane scene quickly transforms into a thrilling chase when Styles discovers he is being followed by a mysterious man wearing sunglasses.
Following a tense confrontation, the two men tumble down a lengthy flight of stairs, only to recover and engage in a dramatic fight. As the song progresses, the narrative takes an unexpected turn; Styles runs towards the enigmatic figure, who then performs a lift reminiscent of the classic film Dirty Dancing. This culminates in a whimsical dance sequence where the pair execute synchronized moves, including backflips down a hallway.
Upon the video’s conclusion, Styles returns to his hotel room alone, leaving viewers to ponder the sequence of surreal events.
"Aperture," released on January 22, marks Styles’ first single in nearly three years and will be featured on his upcoming album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. In the song, Styles lyrically explores the concept of a camera’s aperture, singing, “It’s best you know, What you don’t, Aperture lets the light in,” which metaphorically hints at perception and illumination.
With energetic lines like “We belong together, It finally appears it’s only love,” Styles reaffirms his connection to audiences through this new release.
In addition to the single, Styles is set to embark on a seven-city residency titled "Together, Together," spanning from May to December. The tour will feature 50 shows across cities including Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, Mexico City, New York, Melbourne, and Sydney. Notably, Styles will perform 30 shows at Madison Square Garden, marking his only U.S. appearances, as well as a six-night engagement at Wembley Stadium.
