AARP Names Hamnet Best Movie for Grownups
In an event celebrating cinematic achievements for older audiences, Hamnet has been crowned AARP’s Best Movie for Grownups at the 25th annual Movies for Grownups Awards. The award ceremony, hosted by Alan Cumming, took place on Saturday at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
This year’s ceremony highlighted films from 2025 that resonate with viewers aged 50 and above. Among the notable films recognized were One Battle After Another, Jay Kelly, and Sentimental Value. The event also acknowledged prominent figures in the industry, including actors George Clooney, Laura Dern, Regina Hall, and filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.
Adam Sandler received the Career Achievement Award, a fitting tribute following his recent projects, Happy Gilmore 2 and Jay Kelly, which showcase his versatility as an actor.
