Gwyneth Paltrow Shines in Glamorous Look at the NYC Premiere of ‘Marty Supreme’
The spotlight is currently on *Marty Supreme*, the much-anticipated film set to debut in theaters on Christmas Day. The movie features Timothée Chalamet as Marty Reisman, a ping-pong champion, with Gwyneth Paltrow portraying his love interest in her first film role in years. The stars convened in New York City for the premiere, where Paltrow, 53, captivated audiences in a stunning black velvet gown paired with striking makeup, highlighted by a bold red lip crafted by makeup artist Samantha Lau. She was joined on the carpet by her children, Apple, 21, and Moses, 19.
Paltrow’s iconic blonde hair was styled by celebrity hairstylist Owen Gould, who is known for his work with talents like Julianne Moore and Rachel Brosnahan. Gould prepared her locks using NULASTIN’s hair and scalp collection, stating, “I love to prep the hair with NULASTIN Vibrant Scalp Shampoo and Conditioner. If there’s time for the Vibrant Scalp Scrub, my clients love that, too. The NuProtect Leave-In Primer preps the hair for the finished style.” This careful preparation was particularly important for Paltrow’s naturally curly, color-treated hair, as it required products that not only protected but also moisturized.
Regarding Paltrow’s hairstyle, Gould aimed for an elegant and effortless look that would complement the intricate details of her gown. He shared, “The back has a beautiful see-through detail we wanted to show off. A loose braid always feels slightly elevated to me.” The stylist noted that the face-framing pieces in front added to the overall aesthetic. “With the NuProtect Primer, I knew we would get great shine and smoothness for the style,” he added, remarking that this refined look was a departure from Paltrow’s usual choice of wearing her hair down. A similar low bun was featured at last week’s Los Angeles premiere, where she also sported a black dress.
