Guy Fieri Talks About Changing His Look and Embracing a Fresh Style
Guy Fieri Reveals Stunning Transformation Ahead of Super Bowl Commercial
Celebrity chef Guy Fieri has unveiled a dramatic new look, showcasing his transformation in a recent interview and social media posts. As he celebrated his 58th birthday on January 22, fans were taken aback by Fieri’s fresh appearance, which features a clean-shaven face and a switch from his iconic spiky blonde hair to a sleek brunette style.
In a video shared on Instagram, Fieri expressed, “If you’re going to go big, go big,” and marked his birthday by dubbing himself “JustaGuy.” He sported a blue gingham button-up shirt, khakis, and a brown belt, signifying a departure from his usual casual attire. He captioned the post, “New Year. New Guy. New Look.”
The video is part of a marketing campaign for Bosch’s Super Bowl commercial. Fieri explained that the transformation was significant enough to warrant a change in his signature look, saying, “They said, ‘Well, can you shave your goatee?’ And I said, ‘I would for this. This is such an important commercial.’” He added that his mother initially did not recognize him, remarking, “Who is that?”
Despite speculation among fans that his new look was created using artificial intelligence, a spokesperson clarified that the transformation was achieved through advanced post-production visual effects, with Fieri himself featured in the shot.
Fieri described the filming process as “the craziest 24 to 36 hours” of his career, emphasizing the production’s scale. He noted that it took two hours just to apply the wig for the commercial. Additionally, his wife, Lori Fieri, was surprised by his transformation, stating that she didn’t initially recognize him.
Looking ahead to the Super Bowl, Fieri anticipates that viewers will question whether they are truly seeing him, stating, “If there aren’t about 10 seconds where people say, ‘Is that really him?’ then I’ll be 100 percent wrong. But I won’t be.”
This shift in Fieri’s appearance follows a health scare last November, when he was hospitalized after an on-set accident that left him wheelchair-bound. He had sustained a serious injury from a slip on stairs, leading to emergency surgery. In January, he reported that he was “doing better,” expressing gratitude for his recovery and appreciation for the ability to move freely again.
The Super Bowl commercial, set to air on February 8, promises to showcase a new side of the beloved chef, enticing fans and viewers alike with his unexpected transformation.
