GLAAD Media Awards 2026: Celebrating Nominees like 'Heated Rivalry', 'Stranger Things', and 'Christy'

Nominees Announced for 37th Annual GLAAD Media Awards

The nominees for the 37th Annual GLAAD Media Awards have been unveiled, celebrating exemplary representations of the LGBTQ community across various media, including film, television, music, video games, podcasts, and journalism. The awards aim to honor fair, accurate, and inclusive portrayals that resonate with LGBTQ audiences. The full list spans 31 categories.

In the competitive race for Outstanding Wide-Release Film, titles such as Blue Moon, Cristy, and Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale will contend for the top prize. The nominees for Outstanding Limited-Release Film include Cactus Pears, Fairyland, and I Wish You All the Best, among others.

Winners will be announced at the GLAAD Media Awards ceremony scheduled for March 5 in Los Angeles. Notably, GLAAD does not present awards for acting.

Netflix emerges as a frontrunner this year, leading with 23 nominations, followed by HBO/Max with 14, Apple TV with 11, and Hulu with nine.

Last year’s 36th GLAAD Awards recognized various winners in television, music, and other media categories, including Hacks, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and The Advocate.
