Get a Sneak Peek at Season 2 of Apple TV’s Criminal Record and When It Airs
Apple TV has unveiled a preview of the second season of Criminal Record, a popular thriller starring Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo. The new season is set to premiere on April 22, releasing episodes weekly until its conclusion on June 10.
Created by Paul Rutman, Criminal Record Season 2 revisits Capaldi’s role as Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Hegarty alongside Jumbo’s Detective Sergeant June Lenker. The plot thickens when a young man is fatally stabbed at a political rally, forcing the two rival officers into an uneasy partnership. As they investigate the murder, their pursuit escalates into an undercover operation aimed at thwarting a far-right bomb plot in London.
Joining the cast this season are Dustin Demri-Burns, Luca Pasqualino, Luther Ford, Lyndsey Marshall, and Peter Sullivan, alongside returning members including Shaun Dooley, Stephen Campbell Moore, and Charlie Creed-Miles.
The series, which has achieved significant success in the UK alongside other Apple TV hits like Slow Horses and Bad Sisters, is produced by Tod Productions and STV Studios. Executive producers include Elaine Collins, Paul Rutman, Peter Capaldi, and Cush Jumbo, while the direction is led by Ben A. Williams and Joelle Mae David.
