Family Seeks Justice After Hit-and-Run Leaves Father Brain-Dead
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – A family in Orange County is grappling with heartbreak after a hit-and-run incident left their father, Jesus Leon, declared brain-dead. The tragic event unfolded on January 19 around 1 p.m. as Jesus and his wife were driving to work on the 5 Freeway in Irvine.
According to reports, their vehicle was struck by a white BMW sedan with only one functioning headlight. Following the collision, the driver fled the scene, leaving the couple injured. Moments later, a second vehicle collided with them, but that driver stopped to provide assistance.
In the days following the incident, Jesus Leon’s condition deteriorated, leading to his declaration of brain death. As the family faces mounting medical expenses and funeral arrangements, the community has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to offer support.
As of January 28, the driver of the white BMW remains at large, intensifying the family’s plea for justice in this tragic case.
