Florida Woman Taken into Custody Following Gunfire at Rihanna’s Beverly Crest Residence
Shots Fired at Rihanna’s Beverly Crest Home, Florida Woman Arrested
New developments emerged Monday following a shooting incident at the Beverly Crest residence of singer Rihanna and hip-hop artist A$AP Rocky. A 35-year-old woman from Florida, identified as Ivanna Ortiz, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) reported that Ortiz was taken into custody after shots were fired from a car at the couple’s home around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Rihanna, who resides with A$AP Rocky and their three children, was at home during the incident; fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Although it remains unclear if A$AP Rocky or the children were present at the time, the LAPD confirmed that four bullets struck the residence. Investigators found that Ortiz allegedly fired between seven to nine rounds using an AR-15-style rifle. The front gate of the property bore visible damage from the gunfire, with bullet holes evident. Police were also seen examining an Airstream trailer located in the driveway.
Ortiz faces a significant bond of $10 million, though specifics regarding the timing and circumstances of her arrest have not been disclosed. The LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division has taken over the case, with further details about the motive yet to be revealed.
A neighbor recounted her surprise at the violent disturbance in the typically quiet neighborhood. "I was a little shocked," she stated. "We don’t hear this kind of thing in this neighborhood. It’s pretty quiet."
Representatives for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have not yet responded to inquiries for comment.
