First Look at ‘The End Of Oak Street’: Warner Bros. Reveals Details About Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor’s New Sci-Fi Film
Warner Bros. has released the first teaser for The End of Oak Street, a new sci-fi film directed by David Robert Mitchell. The film was previously known as Flowervale Street and is anticipated by fans of Mitchell, who is known for the acclaimed horror film It Follows.
Details about the film’s plot have been sparse. However, the teaser introduces viewers to a couple, portrayed by Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor. Their son, played by Christian Convery, poignantly asks, “Mom? What’s happening to us?”
In a moment of disbelief, Hathaway responds, “I think our house, our neighborhood, our whole street has moved.” The teaser then cuts to a dramatic aerial view revealing their suburban street seemingly falling away, followed by a sudden shift to what appears to be a different time and place. The family is then seen fleeing their neighborhood, now under threat from dinosaurs.
The ensemble cast also includes Maisy Stella. The End of Oak Street is produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot, with Mitchell directing from his own original script. Together with Abrams and Hannah Minghella for Bad Robot, other producers include Matt Jackson of Jackson Pictures and Tommy Harper, with Jake Weiner and Chris Bender serving as executive producers.
Warner Bros. has several exciting titles slated for release in the coming months, including the New Line horror feature They Will Kill You, debuting tomorrow, followed by Lee Cronin’s The Mummy on April 17, Mortal Kombat II on May 8, and Supergirl on June 26. Additional releases include the Jonah Hill comedy Cut Off on July 17 and Evil Dead Burn on July 24.
