Celebration of Women at Fairmont Miramar Hotel
SANTA MONICA—On Thursday, hundreds gathered at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel to honor some of the city’s most influential women. The atmosphere was vibrant as attendees mingled with both familiar faces and new acquaintances, marking the event organized by Los Angeles magazine to celebrate its 2024 L.A. Woman issue, featuring Kris Jenner on the cover.
Prominent figures in attendance included L.A. Clippers executive Gillian Zucker, House of An’s Elizabeth and Catherine An, FOX 11 anchor Christine Devine, and MTV host Kamie Crawford, who later participated in a panel discussion about their careers.
The afternoon began with cocktails, coffee, and a flower service where guests crafted bouquets from handpicked florals and herbs. Attendees also engaged in a creative exercise, writing haikus that emphasized simplicity and intention.
Following this, guests moved into an auditorium for a luncheon featuring salads and freshly baked bread. The highlight of the event occurred when Jenner, honored as Los Angeles’ 2024 Woman of the Year, took the stage alongside Editor-in-Chief Shirley Halperin. Jenner shared insights from her life, declaring at 68 years old that she has no plans to retire, stating, “I’ve got things to do!”
After Jenner’s address, Deputy Editor Jasmin Rosemberg moderated a panel with other honorees, where they discussed their personal journeys and the evolving landscape of Los Angeles.
As the event drew to a close, attendees enjoyed a refreshing bowl of yogurt before departing, leaving on a high note after an inspiring day.
