Expect More Lane Reductions and Ramp Closures on the 405 in Sepulveda Pass
Lane Closures Scheduled for Northbound 405 Freeway Through Sepulveda Pass
The northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway will experience additional overnight closures as part of ongoing maintenance work, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). The closures are set to take place from April 17 to 20 and again from April 24 to 27.
During the specified periods, the freeway will be reduced to three lanes between Skirball Center Drive and Ventura Boulevard. Additionally, the on-ramp from Skirball Center Drive to the northbound 405 will be closed, as will the off-ramp to Getty Center Drive. Notably, the southbound lanes will remain unaffected by these changes.
This work is part of the larger $143.7 million I-405 Pavement Rehabilitation Project, which encompasses 25 extended weekend lane reductions between the Los Angeles neighborhoods of Van Nuys and Westwood through the Sepulveda Pass. The project aims to improve roadway conditions and traffic flow in the area.
