Exciting New YA Originals and Book Adaptations Coming to Prime Video This Summer
Prime Video Unveils Exciting Lineup for Summer 2026
Prime Video is launching an impressive array of new projects this summer, particularly in the young adult and romance genres. The streaming service showcased a preview reel this morning, highlighting upcoming adaptations of popular books, films, and television shows slated for release over the next few months.
Among the films generating buzz are The Love Hypothesis, based on Ali Hazelwood’s novel; Clashing Through The Snow, featuring Christopher Briney and Michelle Randolph; The Devil’s Mouth, starring Kathryn Newton and Lana Condor; and The Last Sunrise, adapted from Anna Todd’s work and featuring Maia Reficco, Eva Longoria, and Fernando Lindez.
Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman lead the cast of The Love Hypothesis, portraying PhD student Olive and Dr. Adam Carlson, respectively. The story, set in the science department at Stanford University, captures the chemistry between the two characters, showcased in footage featuring their playful interactions. Notably, the Fisher brothers, known for their roles in The Summer I Turned Pretty, will also appear in the aforementioned films, which boast sizable ensemble casts. Other stars in Clashing Through the Snow include Lukas Gage and Julia Fox, while The Devil’s Mouth features a cast including Kathryn Newton and Lana Condor.
In addition to film adaptations, Prime Video offered a preview of Off Campus, a new series based on Elle Kennedy’s book series. This show, which follows the plot of The Deal, the first book in the quintet, is set to premiere on May 13. A screening was recently held in Los Angeles, following a thematic style reminiscent of Bridgerton, where each season focuses on a unique couple.
On June 10, Every Year After, inspired by Carley Fortune’s novel Every Summer After, will debut. The footage reveals a romance unfolding over six years in the lakeside town of Barry’s Bay, featuring Sadie Soverall and Matt Cornett in lead roles.
Megan Park, director and writer of My Old Ass, has her series Sterling Point set to premiere on August 5, alongside the fourth season of Apple TV’s Ted Lasso. The cast includes Ella Rubin and Amélie Hoeferle, with notable supporting performances from Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jay Duplass.
Additionally, Season 3 of Maxton Hall—the concluding chapter of the adaptation of Mona Kasten’s trilogy—was teased, featuring series leads Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung.
However, some anticipated projects were notably absent from the preview, including Overcompensating, renewed for a second season, and the adaptation of Rebecca Yarros’ Fourth Wing. Release dates for Clashing Through the Snow, The Last Sunrise, and The Love Hypothesis remain unconfirmed.
