LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. – The Parkwest Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens faced an evacuation Thursday evening amid heightened police activity.

Around 6:15 p.m., the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for the northbound 710 Freeway at Florence Avenue, reporting that the off-ramp would remain closed until further notice due to the ongoing situation. Heavy traffic congestion was observed along Florence Avenue, and Eastern Avenue in front of the casino was reportedly blocked to vehicles.

Witnesses noted a significant police presence outside the venue, with at least two armored SWAT BearCat vehicles stationed at the entrance, accompanied by various law enforcement units, including those from the Bell Gardens Police Department.
