Actress Eva Mendes recently shared her preparations for attending Ryan Gosling’s hosting debut on Saturday Night Live this past weekend, showcasing an elegant look on her Instagram. Mendes, 52, posted behind-the-scenes clips on March 9, revealing her stylish updo and chic makeup.
In her Instagram stories, Mendes displayed a voluminous hairstyle, featuring a teased crown and a tousled blowout. Her makeup was equally eye-catching, featuring dewy foundation, defined eyebrows, sleek black eyeliner, and soft pink lips. She paired her look with a black Stella McCartney blouse tucked into straight-leg pants, accessorizing with a black leather belt with gold accents and two-toned hoop earrings.
“My prep for SNL this weekend – in case I was suddenly called out in front of cameras again 😬,” she wrote, referencing a previous instance when Gosling surprised her on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
In a subsequent post, Mendes expressed her excitement, calling Gosling’s performance her “all time favorite episode.” This appearance followed a heartwarming moment on The Tonight Show on March 5, where Gosling celebrated Mendes’ birthday by bringing her on stage and surprising her with a marching band that played “Happy Birthday,” prompting the audience to join in.
Gosling humorously quipped about Mendes’s reaction to his surprise, joking that she might end up in the Hudson River. He received a kiss on the cheek from Mendes in appreciation of his sweet gesture.
The couple, who met while filming The Place Beyond the Pines in 2011, welcomed their first daughter, Esmeralda, in 2014, and their second daughter, Amada, in 2016. While their wedding date remains undisclosed, Mendes referred to Gosling as her “husband” in 2022, and she has a tattoo that reads “de Gosling” on her wrist.
