Eva Longoria Excited for Everyone to Experience Kim Kardashian’s Humor in ‘The Fifth Wheel’
As Kim Kardashian transitions from television to film, Eva Longoria is enthusiastic about showcasing her friend’s performance in the upcoming comedy Fifth Wheel. Longoria, who directed the film, praised Kardashian’s work as "so funny," describing the plot as revolving around a group of friends whose Las Vegas getaway is interrupted by an intriguing outsider.
“It’s so much fun. We just wrapped after three months of filming. We ended in Vegas. It was a dream job,” Longoria shared in an interview with People. She emphasized that the film is a bold, R-rated female comedy that resonates with modern themes.
Alongside Kardashian, Fifth Wheel features a cast that includes Nikki Glaser, Brenda Song, Fortune Feimster, Jack Whitehall, Casey Wilson, Scott MacArthur, and Will Ferrell.
“Kim is the anchor of the movie,” Longoria explained. She added, “We just had a blast. Kim and I have been friends for 25 years, and when I got the job, she said, ‘Oh, thank God Eva knows I’m funny.’”
Longoria expressed her excitement for audiences to witness Kardashian’s comedic talent. “I cannot wait for the world to see how great she is in this movie and hopefully spark more female comedies,” she said.
Kardashian’s foray into film follows her recent roles in Ryan Murphy’s All’s Fair and American Horror Story: Delicate, as well as her appearances in the 2008 parody Disaster Movie and Tyler Perry’s 2013 film Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.
