Euphoria Season 3 Trailer Breaks HBO Record with 157 Million Views in Just 2 Days
EXCLUSIVE: Euphoria Season 3 has made a significant impact even before its premiere, which is slated for April 12, just ten days away.
In the recently released Season 3 trailer, Zendaya’s character Rue is seen facing questioning from Drug Enforcement Administration agents regarding her activities in Mexico.
The forthcoming season takes place several years after the main characters have graduated from high school, marking a notable time jump for the series. Along with Rue, the trailer features returning cast members such as Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow.
Notably, the trailer for Season 3 has already broken records, though it remains unclear which prior series held the previous record. HBO has previously highlighted the success of several series trailers, with last year’s The Last of Us Season 2 trailer achieving a remarkable 158 million global views across platforms within three days. In comparison, the trailer for the final season of Game of Thrones garnered 81 million views in its first 24 hours.
Since its debut, Euphoria has seen a meteoric rise in popularity, with many cast members emerging as household names. HBO has indicated that the series is now among its most-watched in history.
The anticipation surrounding Season 2 culminated in a record-setting finale in 2022, which drew 6.6 million viewers across all HBO platforms. This marked a 30% increase from the previous week and surpassed the Season 1 finale which attracted 530,000 viewers.
While speculation suggests that Season 3 may be the series’ last, there has been no official confirmation regarding its future beyond the upcoming season.
Euphoria is written, directed, and executive produced by Sam Levinson.
