Directed by Juan Pablo Arias Munoz, the film centers on a prodigal daughter who returns to her family’s ranch just as her ailing father confronts a powerful rival intent on seizing their property, igniting a land war that threatens to upend both families.
The cast includes Lou Diamond Phillips, John Pyper-Ferguson, Madison Lawlor, Christina Moore, Javier Bolaños, Kate Mansi, Daniel Edward Mora, Loren Escandon, Bruce Davison, Shalim Ortiz, and Charley Debenedetti.

Background
Three years ago, Amazon Freevee announced plans to stream the bilingual series Casa Grande, which explored the daily lives and conflicts between California’s migrant workforce and the landowners benefiting from their labor. Created by Swickard and Afshar, the series showcased the interconnected stories of multiple families in Northern California’s agricultural communities, described as an “upstairs/downstairs story transposed from turn-of-the-century English countryside to rural America.” The original cast featured talents like Pyper-Ferguson (The 100, Suits), Moore (That ‘70s Show, 90210), and Lawlor (Juniper), among others.
The trailer for the film is available above.
