Erin Andrews Shares Exciting Insights About Her Viral Fur Coat: Is It Real, How She Got It, and What It Costs
Erin Andrews recently shared insights about her viral fashion statement, a striking black-and-white faux fur coat, which she donned during the San Francisco vs. Philadelphia Eagles game on January 11. The 47-year-old sports journalist discussed her experience on the January 15 episode of her podcast, “Calm Down With Erin and Charissa.”
Andrews revealed that wearing the coat, featuring a tan collar and spotted fur lining, ventured beyond her usual style choices. “I’m actually proud of myself because you know I’m super safe, within the box when it comes to clothes,” she said. “I was like, ‘This is fun! F*** it!’”
How She Acquired the Coat
The coat was a gift from Rob Zangardi, the founder of Auter, whom Andrews praised for dressing high-profile celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani. “I didn’t know that was the one I was getting,” she explained, indicating her surprise about the choice. A friend encouraged her to wear one of Zangardi’s designs for the game, and she felt confident in letting him select something for her.

Details on the Coat’s Material
Andrews clarified that the coat is made from faux fur. “What world do you guys live in, by the way, that you think as animal lovers, I would wear real fur?” she said emphatically. “I started an animal sanctuary!” Andrews opened the sanctuary, Erin’s Farm, dedicated to rescuing animals. “Where are the puppies?” she humorously added in a Cruella de Vil voice.
Fashion Choices for Game Day
Typically, Andrews prefers a casual look. “This is a girl that walks around with a Tumi backpack and a North Face and a ski suit every week,” she noted, expressing her delight at stepping out of her comfort zone. She added, “Walking out in Philly and those gals in the stands are dressed to the nines. I was jumping right in and really feeling my Philly self.”

After gaining viral attention, Andrews recounted an encounter with a flight attendant who recognized her and expressed hope to see the coat again in the future.
