Eric André Cast in New Action-Comedy ‘Synergy Systems’ by Toby Harvard
Eric André Stars in New Thriller ‘Synergy Systems’
Eric André, known for his work in Little Brother, has secured the lead role in Synergy Systems, an innovative film marking the directorial debut of writer Toby Harvard, who previously directed Come to Daddy.
Synergy Systems is described as a punk, action-packed thriller set in a near-future world. The plot centers around Bemis (André), a data analyst grappling with indecision, who discovers that his employer, Synergy Systems, is concealing a catastrophic doomsday scheme. Faced with the reality of the situation, Bemis must rise to the occasion and become humanity’s last hope, despite his lack of courage, qualifications, and preparation.
Production will be overseen by Steven Demmler through Talon Entertainment, alongside Dane Eckerle from Bad Grey and Iconoclast. Anthony F. Panza of Talon will serve as executive producer, with Cinetic Media managing worldwide sales.
This project sees a reunion between Harvard and Talon, who collaborated on the recently released coming-of-age film Bookworm, featuring Elijah Wood and Stranger Things star Nell Fisher.
André, an Emmy-winner recognized for The Eric Andre Show, has recently made appearances in Disney+’s Ironheart and Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2. His previous credits include starring roles in FXX’s Man Seeking Woman and Netflix’s Bad Trip and Disenchantment.

André will also appear in Netflix’s Little Brother with John Cena, as well as Paramount/Legendary’s Street Fighter, releasing on October 16, and Warner Bros./Legendary’s hybrid film Animal Friends. He is represented by Rise Management, UTA, and Ziffren Brittenham.
