Emma Laird Stars in Tense Love Triangle Set on a Greek Isle at Glasgow Film Fest Premiere of ‘Satisfaction’
EXCLUSIVE: Following its premiere at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in March, Satisfaction is set to continue its international festival journey this weekend.
An exclusive clip from the film, written and directed by Alex Burunova, showcases a tense dinner scene where Lola, portrayed by Emma Laird, engages in a difficult conversation with her partner Philip (Fionn Whitehead) in the presence of their new acquaintance Elena (Zar Amir Ebrahimi) during a holiday in Greece. This marks the film’s U.K. premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival on Saturday.
Following its screening in Glasgow, Satisfaction will also be featured at the BFI Flare London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival from March 22-23, as well as the Manchester Film Festival on March 23.
Set on an unnamed Greek island, the film portrays Laird as a young artist striving to reclaim her voice, both creatively and intimately, while navigating a complex relationship with her boyfriend Philip, a fellow musician. The arrival of another woman, Elena, leads to the surfacing of long-buried tensions.
