Eli Roth’s The Horror Section Picks Up Stripper Slasher Film ‘Stiletto’
Eli Roth’s The Horror Section Acquires ‘Stiletto’ by Samuel Gonzalez Jr.
Eli Roth’s media company, The Horror Section, has secured the rights to Stiletto, a film inspired by the real-life experiences of actress and exotic dancer Gigi Gustin. The film, which marks a significant addition to Roth’s expanding portfolio, is currently in post-production.
Stiletto follows the story of Lyric, portrayed by Gustin, as she embarks on a quest for vengeance on the one-year anniversary of her sister’s brutal murder. Her mission is not only to seek justice but also to safeguard the dancer community from a masked killer responsible for a series of slayings at strip clubs. The film boasts an ensemble cast that includes Charlotte McKinney, Colleen Camp, Meghan Carrasquillo, Stephen Blackehart, and Hannah Hueston.
This release will follow Roth’s first film under The Horror Section, Ice Cream Man, which tells the tale of a seemingly idyllic summer town turned chaotic when an ice cream vendor serves sinister treats to children.
Roth will produce Stiletto alongside Gustin and Hearse Productions, based on a script they co-wrote. Executive producers for the project are Jon Schnaars and Holly Adams representing The Horror Section, along with Christopher Woodrow and Raj Singh from Media Capital Technologies. Scatena & Rosner Films will handle international sales rights.
“Gigi and Sam have made an instant classic. Original, smart, deliciously fun, I was absolutely blown away by their reinvention of the slasher subgenre,” Roth commented. “Gigi’s authentic performance combined with Sam’s smart direction makes this a standout horror film. The finale is one of the most original I have ever seen in this genre, and I am eager to share it with audiences worldwide.”
Gustin expressed her excitement about the project, stating, “The journey of making Stiletto has been the most intense, chaotic, yet equally rewarding experience of my life. Having someone like Eli championing the film feels completely surreal. I’ve poured my heart into this story, and with Eli’s expertise in horror, I truly believe it has the potential to be something extraordinary.”
The Horror Section has already begun curating its collection, having previously acquired Jimmy and Stiggs, directed by Joe Begos, which was released theatrically in August 2025, and Dream Eater, from filmmakers Jay Drakulic, Mallory Drumm, and Alex Lee Williams, which followed in October 2025.
Established by Roth in partnership with Media Capital Technologies, The Horror Section aims to cater to genre enthusiasts by developing a premium portfolio of horror films, television series, games, and immersive experiences.
