Dua Lipa Joins Star-Studded Cast of A24’s ‘Peaked’
Grammy-winning pop star Dua Lipa is the latest addition to the ensemble cast of A24’s upcoming film, Peaked. Directed by Molly Gordon, the film is adapted from a script by Allie Levitan, though details about Lipa’s character remain undisclosed.
Peaked explores the lives of two high school friends as they attempt to reclaim their teenage glory during a 10-year reunion. Lipa will share the screen with notable actors including Emma Mackey, Connor Storrie, Laura Dern, and Simone Ashley, among others.
A24 is financing the project in collaboration with producers David Hinojosa, Zach Nutman, and Gordon, with Levitan serving as executive producer. Production is anticipated to commence next month.
Dua Lipa, an English singer-songwriter, has earned three Grammys and seven Brit Awards. She gained widespread recognition following the release of her self-titled debut album in 2017, featuring the hit single “New Rules,” which became her first No. 1 in the UK.
Her follow-up album, Future Nostalgia, released in 2020, achieved remarkable success, topping charts in 15 countries and yielding multiple critically acclaimed singles such as “Don’t Start Now” and “Levitating.” The album earned her the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2021.
Throughout her career, Lipa has consistently achieved chart-topping success in the UK and multiple Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, alongside billions of streams globally. Her most recent album, Radical Optimism, was released in 2024.
While primarily known for her music, Lipa has also made appearances in films such as Argylle and Barbie, and has featured multiple times on Saturday Night Live as both a host and musical guest. She is represented by CAA, Radical22, and Permanent Press Media.
