Driver Facing Three Murder Charges in Fatal Crash Involving Couple and Their Unborn Child
Man Charged with Murder Following Fatal Crash in Pomona
A man has been charged with three counts of murder in connection with a crash that resulted in the deaths of a young couple and their unborn child, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Marshall Judson, 31, is scheduled to appear in court on Monday. The incident occurred on Wednesday night when Judson led police on a pursuit after authorities responded to a domestic violence report on East 10th and South Elm Streets. During the chase, Judson allegedly drove into a parked patrol vehicle before fleeing the scene, prompting a short pursuit.
The two-mile chase ended when Judson collided with another vehicle near the intersection of County Road and Garvey Avenue. Marc Trejo Saldivar, 26, was driving the car that was struck, while his girlfriend, 25-year-old Jennifer Loera-Zarco, was in the passenger seat. Both died at the scene, and their unborn son, who was due on April 20, also did not survive the crash.
In response to their tragic loss, family and friends of the couple held a memorial service on Friday.
In addition to the murder charges, Judson faces several other charges, including driving under the influence, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, driving without a valid license, felony evasion, and vehicular manslaughter. It remains unclear whether he has legal representation to comment on the case.
