Driver Crashes into Lynwood Home After Police Chase

A driver is facing multiple charges following a crash into a Lynwood home during a police pursuit on Wednesday evening.

According to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, deputies initiated a chase around 8:45 p.m. in the Compton area, near Long Beach Boulevard and Tucker Street, due to reckless driving and suspected DUI.

The pursuit concluded abruptly near Imperial Highway and Bullis Road in Lynwood when the driver struck a curb, propelling the vehicle through the wall of a residence on the 10000 block of McNerney Avenue.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported for anyone inside the home. The driver was taken to a hospital for evaluation before being placed under arrest.
