President Donald Trump Shares Insight on Melania’s Documentary
President Donald Trump recently provided his initial thoughts on the upcoming documentary centered on First Lady Melania Trump. During a press gaggle aboard Air Force One on January 11, he expressed his admiration after viewing "pieces of it."
“I’ve seen pieces of it, it’s incredible," Trump stated. "I think it’s going to do very– you know, she did a book and the book was a big number one bestseller, and this is a movie, and it seems to be captivating a lot of people’s attention."
The documentary, simply titled Melania, is set to premiere on January 29 at the newly renamed Kennedy Center, just ahead of its theatrical release on January 30. This film marks director Brett Ratner’s return to Hollywood, following allegations of sexual misconduct that surfaced during the #MeToo movement.
Amazon MGM Studios purchased the rights to the film for $40 million. It promises viewers “unprecedented access to the 20 days leading up to the 2025 presidential inauguration — through the eyes of the first lady-elect herself.” The documentary aims to deliver exclusive footage, including critical meetings and private conversations.
The teaser trailer hints at moments featuring Melania Trump preparing for meetings, aboard Air Force One, and enjoying time with her son Barron during a rally.
Following the allegations against Ratner, he maintained a low profile after departing from Warner Bros. in November 2017. Recently, he made headlines after appearing in the Department of Justice’s Epstein files, where he was photographed with former model agent Jean-Luc Brunel, who was linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
As the release date approaches, anticipation builds around both the documentary and its implications for the figures involved.
