Doctor Who Now Available for Streaming on AMC+ in the U.S.
AMC+ to Stream ‘Doctor Who’ as New U.S. Partner
AMC+ has secured exclusive streaming rights to the BBC’s iconic series Doctor Who. Starting June 11, viewers in the United States will have access to thirteen seasons and a total of 176 episodes, including special features, of the acclaimed sci-fi series.
Doctor Who, which debuted in the U.K. in 2005, tells the story of a regenerating Time Lord who embarks on adventures across time and space. The series has captivated audiences for nearly two decades, showcasing multiple celebrated actors in the titular role, such as Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, and Jodie Whittaker. Throughout its run, Doctor Who has garnered a devoted fanbase and received numerous accolades, including multiple BAFTA awards and a Peabody Award.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the show’s U.S. premiere on BBC America, a network owned by AMC Global Media.

Produced by BBC Studios for BBC iPlayer and BBC One, with BBC America as a co-producer, Doctor Who is distributed internationally by BBC Studios. The series will join AMC+’s roster of genre franchises, which also includes The Walking Dead Universe and The Anne Rice Universe, featuring Mayfair Witches, Interview with the Vampire, and The Vampire Lestat, alongside popular titles like Mad Men, Preacher, Orphan Black, A Discovery of Witches, Fallen, Wynonna Earp, Snowpiercer, The Terror, Chucky, and Creepshow.
