Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Now Features Original Trilogy Characters
Disneyland Expands Timeline at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
ANAHEIM, Calif. — Beginning April 29, 2026, Disneyland will officially expand the timeline of its immersive experience, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, allowing guests to explore multiple eras of the beloved saga.
The updated timeline will enable interactions with iconic characters from the original trilogy alongside figures from the sequel era. Notable characters such as Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and Han Solo will now be part of the Black Spire Outpost’s environment, enhancing visitor experience with the unmistakable scores of composer John Williams.
In a move to deepen the thematic experience, Disneyland has integrated “screen-used” props from the series "Andor," though details on the specific items and their locations remain undisclosed.
Scope of Changes
Starting April 29, the 14-acre land will transition from its previous exclusive setting, which was rooted strictly between "The Last Jedi" and "The Rise of Skywalker," to a more dynamic “roaming timeline.” Guests will have the opportunity to meet not only the newly introduced characters but also existing favorites like the Mandalorian, Ahsoka Tano, and Rey.
Moreover, the land’s audio elements are set to include soundtracks from the first six films, featuring memorable motifs such as the "Force Theme" and "The Emperor," further enriching the experience of those who visit.
Future Developments
In addition to the character expansions, the “Aurebesh Collection” of merchandise will be available, alongside novel items such as the Salvaged Protocol Droid Bucket, starting Wednesday.
As Disneyland prepares for more updates, the next significant milestone will occur on May 22, when the "Smugglers Run" attraction is set to receive a major content update. Pilots will embark on new adventures encompassing famous locations like the planet Coruscant, the gas giant Bespin, and the wreckage of the second Death Star over Endor.
With these enhancements, Disneyland aims to create a richer, more expansive experience for Star Wars fans, further solidifying its status as a premier destination for those eager to engage with the galaxy far, far away.
