NEED TO KNOW
- AI-generated images of Sean “Diddy” Combs in prison went viral on social media.
- One of the images bore a TMZ watermark, but both TMZ and Combs’ representative, Juda Engelmayer, confirmed these images are AI-generated.
- The music mogul is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence in New Jersey.
If images of Sean “Diddy” Combs smiling in prison have caught your attention online, it’s important to note they are fabricated.
These images, which depict Combs alongside inmates at FCI Fort Dix, gained traction on social media, featuring a TMZ watermark intended to lend authenticity.
However, both TMZ and Combs’ representative, Juda Engelmayer, have clarified that these images are not genuine.
“These images are not real. They are AI fabrications,” Engelmayer stated. “Sean has always treated people with kindness and respect, but it’s disconcerting how often manipulated or AI-generated images are being pushed into the conversation while he is in a federal facility. Nothing in these doctored photos reflects reality.”
A report from TMZ commented on the image with the watermark, stating, “Looks legit, but we’re here to bust your bubble.”
Combs is presently serving a 50-month sentence at Fort Dix, a facility located on a military base in New Jersey. He was transferred there in September after spending time at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn following his arrest in 2024.
The founder of Bad Boy Records was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution after a high-profile federal trial that captured public attention.
Before the circulation of these AI-generated images, real photos of Combs in prison had already emerged. In October, a photo published by TMZ depicted him clad in a dark blue jacket and a bright orange beanie, complete with a full white beard.
