Demi Moore Teams Up with Charlize Theron and Julia Garner for Amazon MGM Thriller ‘Tyrant’
A film titled Tyrant is set to begin shooting in Los Angeles in the coming weeks, supported by a California tax credit. While details surrounding the plot remain undisclosed, sources indicate that it will be a high-stakes thriller centered on New York City’s elite fine-dining scene.
The screenplay, adapted by Weil, is based on an original story he developed with Cody Behan. Producing the film will be The Picture Company partners Alex Heineman and Andrew Rona, alongside Charlize Theron and her Secret Menu collaborators Beth Kono and A.J. Dix. Weil will also produce with his partner Natalie Laine Williams, while Stan Wlodkowski will act as executive producer.

Recently nominated for an Oscar for her role in 2024’s The Substance, actress Moore is also known for her performance in the acclaimed Paramount+ series Landman, created by Taylor Sheridan, which is set to enter its third season following an expanded role in its second installment.
Looking ahead, Moore will star alongside Keke Palmer and Naomi Ackie in Boots Riley’s crime comedy I Love Boosters, which recently premiered at SXSW. The news of Moore’s casting in Tyrant was first reported by Variety.
