DEA Takes $300K in Search of West LA Business
Investigators Seize $300,000 in Cash and Halt Marijuana Sales in West Los Angeles
Federal agents executed a search warrant at a West Los Angeles business this week, leading to the seizure of approximately $300,000 in cash and the suspension of marijuana and vape product sales at the location.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) conducted the operation on Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation in collaboration with the Torrance Police Department. This information was revealed in a statement by DEA Public Affairs Specialist Rosa Valle-Lopez on Saturday.
Los Angeles police officers responded to the incident around 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, assisting federal agents at the business situated in the 11100 block of Tennessee Avenue, near the intersection of Sepulveda and Olympic boulevards.
“As a result of the operation, investigators seized approximately $300,000 in U.S. currency,” Valle-Lopez reported.
In addition, California Cannabis officials imposed an embargo on all marijuana and vape products at the site. This embargo prohibits the sale, transfer, distribution, or destruction of these items, effectively stopping any revenue generation from the products during the ongoing investigation.
