David Di Donatello Awards: ‘The Last One For The Road’ Tops the Nominations for This Year’s Ceremony
The Last One For The Road Leads Nominations for 71st David di Donatello Awards
The road movie The Last One For The Road dominates the nominations for Italy’s 71st David di Donatello awards, announced Thursday at the historic Cinecittà studios in Rome. Directed by Francesco Sossai, the film garnered nominations in 16 categories, marking it as a significant contender for this year’s festivities.
Following closely behind is Paolo Sorrentino’s film La Grazia, which opened the Venice Film Festival and received 14 nominations. Silvio Soldini’s World War II drama The Tasters is also in the spotlight with 13 nominations.
In contrast, Gennaro Nunziante’s popular comedy Buen Camino, which has broken box office records, secured only one nomination, specifically for Best Original Song.
The 71st David di Donatello awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at Cinecittà on May 6.
