David Beckham and Victoria Beckham have unfollowed their son Brooklyn Beckham Peltz on Instagram, reciprocating a similar action from Brooklyn, who has also unfollowed them. This digital rift extends to Brooklyn’s relationships with his two brothers, Cruz and Romeo, as none of them follow each other on the platform. These actions have surfaced amidst ongoing family tensions, reportedly sparked following Brooklyn’s marriage to Nicola Peltz Beckham in April 2022.
Details surrounding the social media dynamics reveal that Brooklyn, 26, no longer follows his parents, and they likewise do not follow him back. Notably, David, 50, and Victoria, 51, do not follow Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, 30, who is also absent from their list of followed accounts.
While Brooklyn’s parents maintain their connections with their two other sons, Romeo and Cruz, their youngest child, Harper, does not utilize social media. The lack of mutual follows among the siblings has raised eyebrows in public discourse, reflecting a growing familial divide.
The turmoil stems from rumors regarding familial strife following Brooklyn’s wedding, which was clouded by tensions over wedding planning, particularly concerning Nicola’s choice not to wear a dress designed by Victoria Beckham. Sources have suggested that alleged confrontations at the wedding further exacerbated relations, particularly when Victoria reportedly interrupted a dance meant for the newlyweds.
The family dynamics have publicly continued to unravel, with tensions evident during significant family events. For instance, David Beckham’s recent 50th birthday celebration saw both Nicola and Brooklyn absent, choosing to skip the event reportedly due to previous misunderstandings involving another family member’s ties to Brooklyn.
Despite the mounting distance, insiders indicate a desire for reconciliation. One source mentioned, “Brooklyn feels torn. It’s his family and blood, but he’s always had a complicated relationship with his dad.” It appears that the relationship, while currently strained, is not considered beyond repair by those close to the situation, suggesting that love and understanding remain as potential avenues for mending the familial bonds.
