Dakota Mortensen and Demi Engemann Join New YouTube Series from Alex Cooper’s Unwell Productions
Media company Unwell, founded by Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper, is venturing into competition series for the first time.
The company is set to launch Unwell Winter Games, a four-part series slated to premiere on YouTube. This initiative signifies a strategic shift for Cooper’s Unwell, which previously produced the Hulu dating series Love Overboard, as it aims to enhance its portfolio of self-produced content.
Unwell Winter Games will feature a diverse cast of reality stars, including Dakota Mortensen and Demi Engemann, both known for their roles in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Mortensen is currently embroiled in controversy as his relationship with Taylor Frankie Paul, who was reportedly set to appear on The Bachelorette, faced public scrutiny after a leaked video showed a heated incident involving the couple.
Engemann has participated in three seasons of Mormon Wives, though she is not returning as a full cast member for the upcoming season.
They will be joined by 14 additional personalities, including con artist Anna Delvey and influencer Hallie Batchelder.
The complete lineup consists of Alissa Violet, Andrew Vetter, Cameron Jerrard, Dylan Kevitch, Ekin Su Cülcüloğlu, Eyal Booker, Gleb Savchenko, Hannah Stocking, Huda Mustafa, Joe Amabile, Juliette Porter, Louis Russell, Niko Emanuilidis, Saraya Bevis, and Serena Pitt.
Set to premiere on Monday, April 6, the series will unfold over four days, showcasing these 16 polarizing figures competing in a range of mental and physical challenges, all filmed against the lavish backdrop of a luxury chalet in Park City, Utah.
YouTuber Adam W will serve as host, joined by commentators Graydon Cutler and Grace O’Malley. Alex Cooper will executive produce alongside Matt Kaplan. The series was filmed in Summit County, Utah, after securing a tax incentive from the state.
