Dakota Johnson and Singer Seen Together Again, Sparking Rumors of a Romance

Are Dakota Johnson and Role Model becoming an item?

The Fifty Shades of Grey star, 36, and the singer-songwriter, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, 28, were seen having dinner Wednesday in Los Angeles, as documented in a video shared by Deuxmoi. This outing marks the second public appearance of the pair together in recent weeks; they were also photographed dining together over the holidays on Dec. 29.

Representatives for both Johnson and Role Model did not respond to requests for comment.

Rumors surrounding the potential romance stem from Johnson’s split from Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, which was confirmed in June 2025. Their relationship lasted for eight years, marked by ups and downs since it began in 2017. Sources indicated in November that Johnson has been “slowly dating again and she’s happy” after the breakup. “Her relationship with Chris was often hot and cold, and while she always hoped they’d work out, she seems lighter and more at peace now that it’s final,” the insider noted.

Meanwhile, Role Model ended his relationship with internet creator Emma Chamberlain in 2023 after dating from 2020. Chamberlain stirred interest in the past when she appeared dancing to Role Model’s song “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.”

Looking ahead, Johnson has a film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel Verity set for release on October 2, 2026. Additionally, she is preparing to direct her debut feature film, A Tree Is Blue, featuring Jessica Alba and Charli XCX. Role Model is set to launch a tour in February 2026, with performances planned in Australia, New Zealand, and on major festival stages including Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Bonnaroo in Tennessee.
