Culver City K-9 Unit Shines with Impressive Wins at Las Vegas Competition
Culver City K-9 Unit Excels at Las Vegas Trials
The Culver City K-9 unit achieved impressive results at a recent K-9 competition in Las Vegas, as announced by the police department on Monday.
Officer Crosby and his canine partner, Kohu, secured first place in both the toughest dog and tactical obedience categories during the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department K-9 Trials held on Sunday. They also earned third place in the overall top dog category and fourth place in explosive detection.
“K-9 Kohu and Officer Crosby’s performance is a reflection of the dedication, discipline, and teamwork that define our department,” stated Culver City Police Chief Jason Sims. “We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments.”
This marks the second consecutive year of success for the department, following last year’s victory when Officer Salazar and K-9 Storm won the toughest dog category.
The Las Vegas Trials are designed to assess the real-world skills that K-9 teams utilize in their daily operations. Kohu, who is just two years old, is the latest addition to Culver City’s K-9 unit.
