Crystal Hefner Shares Cherished Moments from Her Destination Wedding in the Cook Islands with Husband James Ward
Crystal Hefner Weds James Ward in Scenic Cook Islands Ceremony
Crystal Hefner has officially tied the knot with James Ward, sharing her joy through a series of captivating photographs from their destination wedding. The celebration took place on April 2 in the picturesque Cook Islands.
The 39-year-old author of Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself posted a collection of images on social media, highlighting her elegant “Margo” wedding gown designed by Oksana Mukha, adorned with over 5,400 Swarovski crystals. Hefner described the gown as reminiscent of "a Disney princess dress" in an interview with People.
One memorable image featured her striking diamond wedding ring paired with a floral crown that she wore during the ceremony. The couple made their entrance as a local band performed the Māori love song “Akaipoipo Taua,” while their first dance was accompanied by Ike Dweck’s track “Safe With Me.”
“We chose the Cook Islands because of how remote it is,” Hefner told People. “There are no big chain hotels, which makes it feel incredibly peaceful and authentic. It’s also home to one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world. Since James and I both love the ocean and nature, it felt like the perfect place for us to start this chapter of our lives.”
Ward expressed his excitement about their union, stating, “Crystal’s heart, specifically for me and all non-human living things, is a thing to behold. She’s the classiest, brainiest, most adventure-seeking partner I could have ever hoped to find.”
Following their wedding, the couple has decided to remain in the Cook Islands for their honeymoon. Hefner revealed plans for the future, including more travel and adventures centered around their shared love for nature and animals.
Prior to her marriage to Ward, Hefner was wed to the late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner from 2012 until his death in 2017.
