NEED TO KNOW
- Cruz Beckham shared two cryptic posts to his Instagram Stories on January 22.
- He posted a photo alongside a snippet from his mother Victoria Beckham’s 2001 song, “I’m Not Such an Innocent Girl.”
- These posts emerge amid a reported family dispute involving Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham.
Cruz Beckham has stirred attention with recent, ambiguous posts on his Instagram Stories. On January 22, the 20-year-old musician’s updates surfaced just days after his brother, Brooklyn Beckham, made significant allegations about their parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
In one of his posts, Cruz shared a photo holding a can of Guaraná Antarctica, a popular Brazilian soft drink. Although the drink itself seemed unremarkable, the accompanying music selection caught the eye. He paired the snapshot with Victoria’s 2001 hit “I’m Not Such an Innocent Girl.”

While Cruz did not provide context for his choice of the song, many fans speculate that it could be linked to a social media campaign aimed at boosting the track’s chart performance, as Victoria remains the only Spice Girl without a solo No. 1 single. The song choice may also hint at the ongoing discord between Victoria and Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, which reportedly began with a wedding dress issue and escalated through allegations of a “hijacked” first dance during their wedding ceremony in April 2022.

In a second post, Cruz shared an image of a white piece of paper with the words “Loneliest Boy” followed by “Verse 1.” Similar to the first post, no additional context was given, but observers suggest it may allude to Brooklyn’s estrangement from the family.
Previously, Brooklyn Beckham, 26, expressed in an Instagram post, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

Cruz’s posts follow months of tension involving claims of being blocked on social media and the notable absence of the Peltz family from Beckham family gatherings. This is not the first instance of Cruz engaging cryptically on social media; he has previously liked posts mocking Brooklyn’s allegations regarding the alleged disruption caused by their mother during Brooklyn’s wedding.

During a recent Instagram video shared by comedian Olly Hume, he humorously impersonated a DJ announcing the song choice for Brooklyn’s wedding dance. That song was “Pony” by Ginuwine, known for its association with strip clubs and its revival from the film Magic Mike. Hume joked about Victoria’s “interesting moves” during the event, adding to the layers of family discord that appear to be at play.
