Cooler Temps and Light Rain This Week: Here’s What to Expect
Scattered Light Showers on Thursday with a Warmer Weekend Ahead
Light and scattered rain began to fall across parts of Southern California on Thursday, bringing cooler temperatures to the region that are expected to persist through the end of the week.
The precipitation began early Thursday morning, with forecasts predicting pockets of light showers throughout various areas. Some locations may experience moderate to heavy rainfall.
"Scattered showers are possible through Friday, but conditions will dry out for the weekend," said Kelley Moody, a meteorologist at NBC Los Angeles. She noted that rainfall amounts are generally expected to remain at 0.25 inch or less. "We’re mostly just getting the roads wet," she added. "Things will be pretty scattered as we look ahead."
Below-normal temperatures are anticipated to continue, with high temperatures expected to reach the 60s in much of Southern California. However, a return to the 70s is forecasted for the upcoming weekend, signaling a shift to warmer and drier conditions next week.
