Australian singer Cody Simpson recently shared insights into his high-profile romantic relationships during an interview on the podcast We Need To Talk with Paul C. Brunson on March 10. The discussion included his past involvements with notable personalities such as Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Miley Cyrus. This introspective moment comes shortly after Simpson’s split from fellow Australian swimmer Emma McKeon.

Simpson began by reminiscing about his first relationship, which he had with Jenner. They met at the premiere of Twilight: Eclipse in Los Angeles in 2010 and began dating in 2011. Reflecting on their connection, Simpson noted, “It was young. I took her to the movies or something and we dated for about a year and I think we just bonded through being in these unique situations.”

After Jenner, Simpson’s next significant relationship was with Hadid, whom he described as “the hot older girl” after seeing her first Guess campaign. He humorously recounted how he obtained her number and reached out to her under the pretense of a nonexistent music video project. “There was no music video. No plans for a video… I think I pitched her this whole concept that didn’t exist,” he said.

Simpson also reminisced about their first outing together, indicating that he wanted to impress her despite not being able to drive legally at the time. “I think I went, picked her up and we hung out,” he recalled. Simpson regarded Hadid as his "first love," expressing a deep fondness for their on-again, off-again relationship. "We were supposed to be together when we were and learnt stuff from each other," he reflected.
