Coco Jones Engaged to Donovan Mitchell: A Celebration of Love and Careers

Coco Jones is opening up about her engagement to fiancé Donovan Mitchell in a recent interview. The Grammy-winning singer and the NBA star, who announced their engagement in July 2025 after two years of dating, are preparing to embark on their journey towards marriage. "We both go really hard for the things we love, and they’re demanding careers," Jones shared, reflecting on their dynamic as a couple.

Jones described the engagement moment as "indescribable," characterizing it as "the biggest contract I’ve ever signed." She elaborated on the significance of the commitment, saying, "This is a real-life, forever commitment. I talk about forever, I sing about forever, and then I’m like, ‘Oh, this really forever.’"

Navigating the complexities of their busy careers, Jones expressed a mix of excitement and intimidation about their upcoming wedding. "It’s exciting, it’s intimidating and it’s just powerful," she added. Their mutual dedication to their careers has allowed them to understand each other’s commitments more deeply. "It’s a blessing to have somebody who also gives a lot to their career and to their brand," she stated.

Jones recognizes that this shared understanding has strengthened their relationship. "We both go really hard for the things we love," she noted. "I feel like we speak a different language that makes me really feel seen. He’s my biggest cheerleader, so I feel like I’m never able to doubt myself in his presence."

Despite her busy schedule—including the release of her debut album Why Not More? last year, touring, and multiple Grammy nominations—Jones assures fans that wedding planning is a priority. "I’ll make that time. Stop playing with me," she asserted.

Reflecting on her engagement, which was announced with a video shared on Mitchell’s Instagram, Jones affirmed, "I think about it quite often, honestly." As for the wedding itself, she aims for a private affair, stating, "I feel like a lot of the things that I see on TikTok are specifically for TikTok, and I’m not trying to do a viral wedding." She concluded, "It’s mostly going to be private and intimate and with a sprinkle of sharing is caring."
