CMG Productions and Moscot Global Collaborate to Bring American Scripted Shows to the UK
New Initiative to Boost U.S. Scripted Productions in the UK
A collaborative effort is underway to enhance the presence of U.S. scripted productions in the United Kingdom. CMG Productions, based in the UK, has joined forces with Moscot Global Production Services from the U.S. to facilitate this growth, creating a pathway for American studios, producers, and platforms to enter the UK market.
Hollywood has historically favored the UK as a production hub, thanks to its extensive studio facilities and favorable tax incentives for large-scale scripted projects. As financial challenges persist, many American producers are increasingly attracted to international production opportunities.
Under the newly established agreement, CMG Productions, led by co-CEOs Claire McArdle and Rebecca Knight, will serve as the exclusive UK production service provider for Moscot Global and its projects. CMG will offer comprehensive production and post-production services, assist U.S. companies in navigating infrastructure and networks, and ensure access to the UK tax credit system and other relevant regional incentives.
CMG has a strong portfolio, including work on Paramount+ series like MobLand and The Agency. Moscot Global, headed by former Sony Pictures Television COO Gregg Moscot, aims to support international partners with cross-border logistics, funding, and creative development.
McArdle and Knight, seasoned veterans from Paramount (formerly Viacom), have been leading CMG since 2021. Moscot founded Moscot Global last year following his departure from B17. His company focuses on U.S.-based physical production services and international production facilitation.
“Gregg’s unparalleled knowledge and expertise navigating the U.S. production market makes Moscot Global an ideal partner for CMG Productions,” Knight remarked. “We are excited to enable his slate of UK scripted projects to be made as part of a seamless production pipeline that facilitates international collaboration. The door is always open to U.S. studios, producers, and partners looking to bring productions to the UK.”
Moscot echoed Knight’s sentiments, stating, “CMG Productions is exactly the kind of partner we look to align with. They are trusted, experienced, and deeply knowledgeable about the UK production landscape. As more U.S. producers look abroad for strategic production solutions, this partnership gives them a clear, trusted path into the UK with the right infrastructure, local expertise, and support to execute at a high level.”
