Christopher Giroux and Ann Pirvu Launch Precious Metal Productions with Their New Film ‘Bee My Love’
Canadian Creatives Launch New Production Company and Upcoming Film
Canadian producer Christopher Giroux and actress-producer Ann Pirvu have officially unveiled their new joint venture, Precious Metal Productions, along with details about their first television feature, Bee My Love.
Specializing in television movies and feature films, Precious Metal Productions aims to create original content while offering full-service production. Their inaugural project, Bee My Love, has recently completed production.
In this romantic drama, Pirvu plays a private chef who competes for a coveted position with a celebrity restaurateur. Drawn from her mother’s recipes, the plot interweaves themes of sweetness, love, and personal inspiration, with the chef learning from a struggling beekeeper that the finest experiences in life—and love—are best shared. A first image from the film has also been released.
Pirvu is joined by a talented cast that includes Robin Dunne, Emily Alatalo, Romaine Waite, Neil Whitely, and Brigitte Kingsley.
With an extensive background in film and TV production, Giroux boasts over 50 producer credits. Previously serving as the Senior Vice President of Production at Vortex Media, he oversaw projects such as Anything For Jackson and The End of Sex.
Giroux has earned two Canadian Screen Award nominations for his work on Christmas Island and Take Me Back for Christmas. He recently directed Uphill for Christmas, which is currently in post-production and stars Vanessa Lengies and Marcus Rosner.
“Film and TV production is entering an interesting era. The enthusiasm for content has never been higher – we strive to bridge the gap between the screen and the people watching it,” noted Giroux.
He emphasized a multi-faceted approach for their productions, highlighting the integration of broadcast, social media interaction, live streaming, and theatrical screenings to enhance audience engagement.
Pirvu, born in Romania, has a diverse portfolio both in front of and behind the camera. She is best known for her roles in Reign and Poly Is the New Monogamy, for which she received a Canadian Screen Award nomination. Her film credits include Learning to Love Again and The Heiress & The Handyman.
“We’re hyper-focused on craft and precision. Our projects are thoughtfully shaped, emotionally resonant, and driven by a commitment to elevated storytelling that creates lasting, meaningful connections with people,” Pirvu stated.
Bee My Love is produced in collaboration with Kingsley and Andrew Cymek from Good Soldier Films, which is known for A Novel Christmas. The film is represented by Defiant Empire Distribution, which holds the world distribution rights.
