Chris Paul has officially announced his retirement from the NBA, marking the conclusion of an illustrious 21-year career. His announcement came after he was waived by the Toronto Raptors.
Paul ranks second in NBA history with 12,552 assists and 2,728 steals. He also made history as the first player to reach the milestones of 20,000 points and 10,000 assists in his career.
During his tenure with the Los Angeles Clippers from 2011 to 2017, Paul was a key figure in what became known as the ‘Lob City’ era, teaming with Blake Griffin. This period was highlighted by six consecutive winning seasons, two Pacific Division titles, and notable playoff achievements.
