Cha Seung-Won to Host ‘The Traitors’ in Korea
Korean audiences will soon have the intriguing opportunity to uncover traitors in a new local adaptation of a popular global game show.
The show, titled The Traitors Korea, will be hosted by renowned Korean actor Cha Seung-won.
Over 30 countries have commissioned their own versions of The Traitors, a show where a group of faithful contestants attempts to identify traitors among them. Participants engage in daily challenges before voting to eliminate players at night, while traitors covertly work to undermine their efforts. The series has garnered widespread success globally, particularly in its home country, the Netherlands, as well as in the UK and the U.S. on Peacock.
Korea has become a hub for adapting international television formats, previously known for hits like The Masked Singer.

Cha Seung-won is well-known for his roles in The Greatest Love, Our Blues, and The Tyrant.
Yul Han, CEO of Luyworks Media and executive producer of The Traitors Korea, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating: “Together with actor Cha Seung-won, we will produce a programme that expands K-content to the next level. It is a tremendous honour to be working with actor Cha Seung-won, whom we have long considered the most fitting host for The Traitors while producing the Korean version.”
All3Media International oversees the global distribution of the series, which was created and developed by IDTV and POSVIDEO in partnership with RTL Creative Unit.
