Celebrating Chuck Norris: A Look Back at His Career Through Photos
Chuck Norris, the renowned martial artist turned pop culture icon, passed away on March 20 at the age of 86.
Throughout his illustrious career, Norris emerged as a genuine force in Hollywood, successfully merging the raw martial arts cinema of the 1970s with blockbuster action films. He made his feature film debut in 1972, facing off against Bruce Lee in The Way of the Dragon. By the 1980s, he sparked a nationwide fascination with ninjas in The Octagon (1980).
Norris also starred alongside Jonathan Brandis in the coming-of-age film Sidekicks (1992), which ultimately led to his most iconic role as Cordell Walker in the CBS procedural Walker, Texas Ranger, which aired from 1993 to 2001. For eight seasons, he defined Saturday night television as a Texas lawman known for delivering justice with his signature roundhouse kick instead of a firearm.
To commemorate his impactful career, a retrospective of Norris’s work is featured, showcasing notable moments through a series of photographs.
