Cape Fear: Apple TV’s New Psychological Thriller Premieres This Summer
Apple TV has announced the release date for its anticipated drama series Cape Fear. The 10-episode psychological thriller will debut on June 5, 2026, with the first two episodes, followed by new installments every Friday until July 31.
Photos featuring lead actors Amy Adams, Patrick Wilson, and Javier Bardem were also unveiled, offering a glimpse of the casting, though they leave much to the imagination regarding the storyline.
Based on the novel The Executioners, Cape Fear draws inspiration from Gregory Peck’s 1962 film and its 1991 remake directed by Martin Scorsese and produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. Apple has stated that the series is particularly inspired by the remake.
Created and written by Nick Antosca, Cape Fear is described as a suspenseful, Hitchcockian thriller that explores America’s fascination with true crime in the 21st century.
