Powerball Jackpot Reaches $45 Million Following Recent Drawing
The Powerball jackpot has risen to an estimated $45 million after no grand prize winner emerged from Saturday’s drawing. However, a player in Calabasas is celebrating a significant win, having scored over $2.2 million.
According to the California Lottery, one ticket that matched five numbers but did not include the Powerball was sold at a Shell station located at 22295 Mulholland Highway. The ticket is valued at $2,242,838.
During Saturday’s drawing, the numbers drawn were 6, 47, 49, 53, 60, with the Powerball number also being 6. The estimated jackpot prior to the drawing was $35 million.
The odds of winning the grand prize by matching all five numbers along with the Powerball are a staggering 1 in 292.2 million, as stated by the Multi-State Lottery Association. However, the overall chance of winning any prize in the game is more favorable, at 1 in 24.9.
The Powerball lottery is available in 45 states, as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
